Terms & Conditions
Exhibition Model
A Space Gallery operates on a loan based exhibition model. All artworks are exhibited on a temporary loan from the artist and remain the property of the artist at all times.
Exhibitions are developed collaboratively between artists and the Gallery, with curatorial, spatial, and technical considerations informing installation and presentation.
Artist Participation
We invite artists and curators to participate through open calls and curated selection.
Selected projects are developed in dialogue with the Gallery, including curatorial planning, installation coordination, and exhibition development.
We support experimental, interdisciplinary, and process based practices.
Care & Handling
The Gallery applies professional standards of care, handling, installation, and exhibition management while artworks are in its custody during the exhibition period.
All reasonable precautions are taken in accordance with standard exhibition practices.
Insurance
The Gallery maintains general insurance coverage for exhibition operations and public liability.
Individual artworks are not insured by the Gallery. Artists are responsible for arranging insurance coverage for their works during transport, delivery, installation, exhibition, and deinstallation.
Artists are strongly encouraged to obtain insurance coverage for fragile or materially sensitive works, including but not limited to ceramic, glass, sculpture, textile, and installation based works.
Installation & Presentation
Installation and presentation decisions are made by the Gallery in consultation with the artist when applicable and are subject to curatorial, spatial, and technical considerations.
The Gallery reserves the right to modify installation methods when necessary to ensure the safety of artworks, visitors, and the exhibition environment.
Liability
The Gallery is not responsible for loss or damage caused by third parties, visitors, natural events, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Responsibility for insuring artworks remains with the artist, except in cases of direct and proven intentional misconduct by the Gallery.
Shipping, Delivery & Pickup
Artists are responsible for all aspects of shipping, delivery, and pickup of artworks, including packaging, transportation arrangements, and associated costs, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The Gallery does not provide shipping services and does not assume responsibility for transportation of artworks.
Artists are responsible for collecting their artworks within the agreed pickup period following the conclusion of the exhibition.
Documentation & Rights
The Gallery may photograph or otherwise document exhibitions, artworks, and public events for archival and promotional purposes.
By participating in exhibitions or attending events at the Gallery, artists and visitors acknowledge that photography and video recording may occur in the space.
All documentation produced by the Gallery remains the property of the Gallery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Changes To Terms
The Gallery reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions when necessary. Updated terms will apply to future exhibitions and participation.
By submitting work, participating in exhibitions or events, or otherwise engaging with A Space Gallery, artists and participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
