OPEN CALL
Level 0.5
Group Exhibition at A Space Virtual Gallery
There are spaces that feel almost familiar, but never fully arrive. Half-floors, loading rooms, empty corridors, fluorescent lights, office carpets, abandoned malls, and repeated architecture seem to exist between function and disappearance. These places resemble the ordinary, yet something feels displaced, unfinished, or quietly unreal.
Level 0.5 is not a destination, but a threshold. It is the space between systems, the room before an image fully renders, or the hallway after a memory begins to fade. Instead of treating the unknown space only as a horror setting, Level 0.5 asks what happens when comfort turns strange, and when familiar environments begin to glitch, loop, or slowly detach from us.
This open call invites artists to respond to liminal space, digital loneliness, architectural anxiety, simulation, memory, nostalgia, disappearance, repetition, and the quiet unease of being suspended inside a place without a clear exit. We are interested in works that explore the blurred boundary between the real and the artificial, the physical and the virtual, comfort and fear, orientation and loss.
Rather than offering a way out, this exhibition creates space for wandering, suspension, disorientation, and quiet unease.
