OPEN CALL | Thinking in the Borderland: Margins of Temporality
This exhibition is part of the annual curatorial program initiated by A Space Gallery. As a long-term international curatorial unit, the program organizes monthly open calls and selections around different themes, forming a continuously updated and publicly accessible "Nomadic Archive of Ideas." It aims to provide cross-border professional support for global creators. In addition, the program establishes an Annual Top Artist Ranking, where artists who participate and win multiple times will receive priority recommendations for future A Space offline exhibitions, residency programs, and international art fairs.
"Margins of Temporality" seeks to question the true meaning of
"development" within the pathways of modernization. Has the present truly surpassed the past? What hidden costs lie benind development? When we look back nostalgically, do we overlook the possibilities embedded in yesterday? And through art, can we rediscover opportunities stored within history, break through the linear concept of "history," and achieve a co-creation between the past and the present?
