What remains of persuasive imagery when it no longer serves any product?
Under emotional capitalism, our feelings are processed into carriers that can be delivered and tracked. Images no longer point to objects; they point instead to the very posture of being desired.
JET TOO HOLIDAY explores this de-functionalized advertising language. It promotes nothing real, yet through its absurd exaggerations it becomes a metaphor for our reality. At its core lies a deep absurdity: a society that endlessly generates desire without ever offering true satisfaction. What the audience encounters is the hollowing-out of desire itself which is always summoned, always provoked, yet never resolved.
In this “holiday of desire,” we invite artists to help build fantasies without anchors. Through heightened language and surreal imagery, we create a stage for the audience to enter, to lose themselves in, and to reflect upon. Within the fog of signs, they may drift and indulge, but in the echo of desire they also glimpse themselves: endlessly called, endlessly stirred, yet never fulfilled.
