BLANKNESS
- Group Exhibition at A Space Gallery
Blankness can take many forms: an empty surface, a pause, a missing image, a forgotten memory, or something left unsaid. It can appear between images and language, memory and reality, presence and absence, or between one place and another. Sometimes what seems empty is not empty at all. It may hold traces of something that has disappeared, changed, or never fully arrived. BLANKNESS looks at these open spaces and the meanings that begin to form inside them.
For BLANKNESS, we are looking for works that explore absence, silence, memory, displacement, language, identity, negative space, incompleteness, or the unseen. We welcome painting, photography, sculpture, installation, video, mixed media, and other visual practices. The work does not need to be literally about “blankness.” It might begin with something missing, fragmented, erased, hidden, unfinished, or simply difficult to put into words. We are interested in works that leave some space for the viewer to enter and form their own reading.
