Yerang Moon

Yerang Moon (b.1999, Seoul, Korea) is an artist currently based in New York as a Fulbright scholar. Driven by a curiosity about how individuals become collectives, her work explores the dynamics of our lives. She makes paintings, high reliefs and installations that delve into the complex relationship between individuals and society. Moon’s work metaphorically explores visible and non-visible aspects of humans. Moon recently had a solo show [Solid or Liquid] at Mora Museum in Jersey City in August, 2024. She also participated in group shows [International Exhibition] at Awita New York Studio in NY, [980617-2] at Rainbow Cube Gallery and [X Being X and Not X at the Same Time] at Woosuk Gallery in Korea. In May 2024, she was selected as a resident artist in Cellar Artist Run Residency in Brooklyn, NY. Two group exhibitions and L.a. Art Residency program in Pennsylvania, the United States are scheduled for later this year. Before pursuing her MFA at Pratt Institute (expected date of graduation, May 2025), Yerang received a BFA from Seoul National University in 2021.
