Where we don't intersect

Minjee's Solo Exhibition

A Space Gallery is pleased to present Where We Don't Intersect, a solo exhibition by Minjee, on view from September 4 through September 10, 2026. Bringing together painting and installation, the exhibition considers the distances and partial encounters between different forms of presence, and the ways they coexist without fully converging.

Minjee constructs an artificial landscape through fragmented images, temporary structures, and foldable forms, creating an environment that feels both familiar and slightly displaced. Within this constructed landscape, viewers are invited to move through a space where the boundaries between image, object, space, and perception begin to shift.

Throughout the exhibition, each work maintains its own presence while forming partial relationships with the works around it. Paintings extend into space, installations interrupt the surrounding architecture, and visual fragments overlap without settling into a single coherent scene. Minjee describes this condition as a “Skew Universe,” a world shaped by proximity, distance, and incomplete encounters. As viewers move through the exhibition, perspectives continually change, allowing different relationships between the works to emerge. Where We Don't Intersect holds these connections in an open and unsettled state, creating a landscape where images, objects, viewers, and constructed forms can temporarily enter the same space while still retaining a sense of distance.
