A Space is excited to present the exhibition “Uncharted Waters: Technological Imprints”, which will delve into this metaphorical sea, exploring new technological frontiers and their impacts on human life. By embracing the unknown, these artists will provide insights into the complex issues arising from technological integration into everyday existence. In this exhibition, we will focus on the theme "Technological Imprints," examining how technological advances shape human experiences and how artists explore these uncharted territories. The exhibition will highlight the intersection of technology and society, showcasing works that reflect on unfamiliar situations and the discomfort of navigating the unknown.

This exhibition invites many artists from around the world to explore in depth the subtle connection between individuals and the environment in the digital age through videos, installations and photography. For example, Cyberpelago Gia Abucejo’s work explores the complex interweaving of female labor and identity in distant lands through virtual landscapes and digital characters; Jiyun Xia’s “Stony Voice” combines ancient technology with modern biology to explore the relationship between technology and A profound interaction between nature.

Three artists have demonstrated their thinking on “Uncharted Water” through the installation. Sophia Sobers’ "Gone Fishing" utilizes AI to reinterpret scenes of the natural world, presenting an abstraction that distances itself from human visual expectation. Yizhi Liu’s “▯” explores the pervasive influence of rectangular structures in urban and digital environments, reflecting on how they compartmentalize our existence and shape our perception of reality. Yuhan Shen’s untitled installation is integrated with a thermoelectric cooling system.

Furthermore, Yige Bai explore their ”Uncharted Waters” flied in Mixed Reality Devices. Yige’s “Nonlinear Evolution" is a mixed reality project created using Unity. It is an art project that combines science fiction and philosophical thinking to explore the nonlinear evolution of artificial intelligence and its impact on technology and human destiny. Michelle’s “Blue Desert” is a VR narrative experience, structured in the form of non-linear and multi-channel storytelling, unfolds the tale of a girl who is looking for her lost connection with her mother. This time she will present her work on CRT Moniter.

George Bezani’s “The Death of Running Away” explores technology's impact on society, depicting individuals in a state of escapism and attention disorder. Characters infused with digital influences are lost in monochromatic landscapes filled with tension and desolation, confronting the viewer with the consequences of screen culture. Kai Pei’s “Bedded on Cotton Wood” is a 3D animated film that discusses the potential future where artificial intelligence serves as our caregivers in our homes, offering unwavering care throughout the day.
