CALL FOR ENTRY — “New Year New Me(ntal Issues)” : We’re opening submissions for a one-day group show on January 23, 2026🌋
New Year is often treated as a fresh start, but for many artists, the pressures of creativity, deadlines, and self-expectation mean that nothing truly resets. Burnout, anxiety, stress, self-doubt, and persistent patterns linger even as the calendar changes.
“New Year, New Me(ntal Issues)” examines these ongoing states and invites artists to submit work that reflects them. We are looking for honest, direct, and personal responses to mental health, time pressure, self-expectation, and emotional stagnation. There is no need to offer solutions or positive endings.
🔥Eligibility: We welcome all 2D and 3D mediums, including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, ceramics, fiber art, collage, mixed media, installation, video, and performance. Emerging and early-career artists are strongly encouraged to apply.

🔥About the juror:
Jane Yu is an artist working primarily in photography. Her work transforms everyday scenes into poetic imagery, exploring identity, self-exploration, and subtle emotional nuances. Her photographs have received international recognition, including the Prix de la Photographie Paris (Px3) and the American Photographic Artists Awards.
She was also hand-picked for Artsy’s “New This Week”, a weekly curated selection by Artsy editors highlighting notable works from galleries worldwide.
🏆 What happens on opening night?
During the juried exhibition opening, our guest juror Jane Yu will choose one Winner from the exhibition.
