THINKING IN THE BORDERLANDS: MARGINS OF TEMPORALITY
November 21 - December 21, 2025

A Space is pleased to present the second exhibition of Thinking in the Borderland series - Margins of Temporality, an online exhibition interrogating the themes that centralize the overlooked, the off-axis, and the fragments that fall outside dominant timelines.Drawing from the theory of Border Thinking by Walter Mianolo, the series challenges contemporary epistemologies still haunted by imperial logic-those that categorize, segregate, and enclose. This exposition amplifies voices from geographical, linguistic, and cultural borders, foregrounding phenomena marginalized by dominant discourse.Extending Walter Mignolo’s Border Thinking, Margins of Temporality explores cosmologies that move at uneven temporal speeds, disrupting a singular “present” and allowing unseen pasts and paused futures to re-emerge.

The online exhibition gathers works that extend Border Thinking into the realm of time—where it bends, accelerates, and slips from view. These pieces think from within the border, revealing moments usually overlooked: slow disappearances, rapid shifts, and memories blurred by modernity’s pace. Through these subtle, personal temporalities, viewers are invited to rediscover parts of themselves overshadowed by progress. Here, art becomes a container for what time erases, offering gentle reminders that forgotten truths can be reawakened.
