BLANKNESS brings together works by Keming Chang, Rosalie Chandler, E HwangZiquan Meng, Zero Minglin He, Dae Hak Oh, and Tanika Yezhova. The exhibitiorbegins with a simple question: what do we encounter when something appears to beempty? Across the works, blankness often emerges through a process. A surface isbuilt up until openings begin to appear within it: material is lavered and later fallsaway; an object that seems hollow carries an unexpected physical weight; fragmentsof an image are held apart by untouched space. What looks absent can still registerthe pressure of what has passed through it. Blankness, in this sense, takes shapethrough the marks that remain, the parts that disappear, and the space createdbetween the two.

Time further complicates these spaces. An experience may only become legible years after it happens, while a material can preserve one trace and release another without following the artist's intention. Memory works in a similar way: some details persist with surprising clarity, while others gradually lose their shape. BLANKNESS follows this unstable relationship between what is present and what can no longer be fully recovered. Moving through the exhibition, viewers encounter blankness less as a fixed visual condition than as something that develops through contact-with material, with time, and with their own attempts to make sense of what is in front of them.
